ICAM and Integrated Security at State

IMS

The U.S. Department of State relies on Business Integra for ongoing maintenance of one of its critical intrusion detection monitoring systems. We are tasked with security not only for domestic locations, but for overseas posts including embassies, consulates, annexes, residential homes, and motorcade facilities. The Intrusion Detection System (IDS) protects Department Controlled Access Areas (CAA) and Limited Access Areas (LAA). Our integrated security is a constant interweaving of role-based access, two-factor authentication, sensors, videotape, closed-circuit television (CCTV), IP-addressable cameras, an Imminent Danger Notification System (IDNS) and other factors involved in mission-critical global security. Our work gives us expertise in digital certifications, cryptographic services, biometric interfaces, PIVs, PINs, and related elements of a state-of-the-art alarm system. Our support of a complex IDS network means that we:

  • Administer and maintain user accounts, permissions and access rights;
  • Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades and repairs;
  • Interact with vendors and suppliers to secure network products and services;
  • Maintain and establish VPN connections to remote facilities;
  • Maintain high availability redundant switches and routers;
  • Maintain and monitor network security, configuration controls and audits; and
  • Provide continuity of operations (COOP) and disaster recovery (DR) services.
