Security for State
For 324 sites worldwide for the Department of State, BI’s technical information security team provides support and guidance includes policy compliance, documentation requirements compliance, planning and recommendations for system continuity of operations (COOP), system standard operating procedures (SOPs), and assistance in change control processes for the Network Security Management (NSM) system. We create technical solutions to automate processes, assist with design and implementation of security technology, and monitor intrusion detection systems and access controls 24/7/365. We maintain an alarm system infrastructure including the servers, operating systems, devices, and entry/exit points for Physical Access Control Systems (PACS) as well as the Logical Access Control Systems (LACS).
NOC for NASA
BI supports over 9,000 Goddard NASA users across 35 scientific groups, including the Hubble Telescope and the James Webb Space Telescope. Among our varied duties is the operations and maintenance of an onsite Enterprise Service Center for the Network Operations Center (NOC). We record, triage, resolve, troubleshoot, or redirect all incidents and service requests – providing Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 support. We close over 600 tickets per month. Other O&M duties we perform at NASA include Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM), patching and updates, support of MS Active Directory, system engineering, and strategic planning. We have improved data center operations by 10% by reusing equipment and streamlining systems.
IS&P for FAA
The nation depends on safe air travel, and the FAA depends on Business Integra to help protect its data and ensure its many systems run smoothly on a large Information Security & Privacy (ISP) contract. BI has over 60 full time staff at the FAA who perform a full range of IT service delivery activities entailing strategy, design, security, operations, and transition of several enterprise shared services. Among our services include cloud engineering support, asset management for applications hosted in one of three data centers, continuity of operations (COOP) support, and disaster recovery planning. BI has also been tasked with the development of several new services and technologies for use by the FAA to streamline service delivery and add increased value to FAA system business owners.
